- FridayAlbany, NY Our Internal Medicine office is seeking a motivated andenergetic LPN to join our dedicated team of healthcare providers!
The Division of Internal Medicine is located at 178 Washington AveExt. Albany N.Y. Our division has 9 physicians, 2 PA’s and 24medicine residents. As a patient centered medical home primary careoffice, the division provides the highest quality of care to ourpatients. We are committed to meeting all of our patients needsfrom medical to psychosocial. As a medicine office we see patientsthat are 18 years. The division is an energetic, fast-paced workenvironment. We strive to work together as a team to deliverexceptional patient care. Under the direction of the attendingphysician, RN, Lead LPN or practice coordinator, the LPN willprovide direct patient care and assist in the following clinicalfunctions to all providers. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Obtains and accurately record patient’s vital signs
- Documentscomponents of patient’s history
- Communicates in an open andappropriate manner with patients, visitors and staff
- Participatesin in-office procedures under the direction and supervision of alicensed healthcare provider
- Performs diagnostic CLIA waivedtesting
- Performs venipuncture to obtain blood for lab testing
- Prescription call-backs per scope of practice
- Preps patient’schart for pertinent clinical information
- Maintains inventory ofsupplies, and keeps patient examination rooms stocked
- Adheres toAMC’s regulatory compliance issues
Qualifications:
- High SchoolDiploma/G.E.D.
- required
- Previous experience in a patient caresetting
- preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communicationskills.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond toquestions from physicians, patients and their family members orother employees within the work setting.
