We are currently hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a night shift contract assignment in Rochester, NY. This is an excellent opportunity for LPNs with acute care hospital experience who are seeking professional growth — especially those working toward RN licensure. This is not a long-term care (LTC) position.

Key Details:

12-hour night shifts only Must be available every other weekend and every other holiday LPN must be comfortable managing their own patient assignment Facility allows local candidates Floating to other MedSurg/Tele units is expected May float to ICU/ER as helping hands or to care for MedSurg-level patients Facility may cancel up to 3 shifts (for 13-week contracts) or 2 shifts (for shorter contracts)

Requirements:

Active LPN license (New York) 1-2 years of acute care hospital experience required AHA BLS certification (must be current) Flexibility to float and take full patient assignment Strong clinical references

Compensation:

Weekly Gross Pay:

$1,462.00

Weekly Taxable Income:

$612.00

Weekly Non-Taxable Stipend:

$850.00 Hourly Taxable (Up to 40 hours): $17.00

Hourly Non-Taxable Stipend:

$23.61 Overtime Rate (After 40 hours): $25.00/hour Responsibilities Provide direct patient care in an acute care setting, ensuring adherence to established protocols and standards. Perform patient assessments and monitor vital signs, documenting findings in EHR systems. Administer medications and IV infusions as prescribed, while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans. Assist with catheterization, tube feeding, and other nursing procedures as needed. Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff during 12-hour night shifts. Why Apply?
