Duration:

13 weeks contract

Shift:

12 hours night

  • 36 GH Payrate on w2
  • $44/hr Payrate on 1099
  • $47/hr Note
  • Float is expected to other MS/Tele units.

If floating to ICU or ER, it would be to care for MedSurg level patients or to be helping hands. This is NOT an LTC unit; minimum of 1-2 years of acute care hospital experience is required. Facility can call off up to 3 shifts for 13-week contract and 2 shifts less than 13-week contract. Expected to work every other holiday. Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to: Job Summary The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for providing basic nursing care to patients under the direction of registered nurses and doctors. The LPN monitors patients’ health, administers basic patient care, and ensures that patients’ comfort and well-being are maintained. This position involves working closely with a healthcare team to deliver quality care in accordance with established nursing practices and procedures. Key Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care to patients, including administering medications, changing dressings, and monitoring vital signs. Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility. Monitor patients for changes in condition and report any significant changes to the RN or physician. Administer injections, IVs, and other treatments as prescribed by the healthcare provider. Accurately record patient information, including health status, treatment plans, and responses to treatments, in patient medical records. Ensure all documentation is completed promptly and in compliance with healthcare regulations and facility policies. Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, and preventive care. Provide instruction on medication administration, wound care, and other aspects of patient self-care. Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized patient care plans. Communicate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care and optimal patient outcomes. Adhere to infection control protocols and ensure a safe, clean, and organized environment for patients. Comply with all state and federal regulations and facility policies regarding patient care and documentation. Participate in continuing education programs and maintain knowledge of current nursing practices and procedures. Advocate for the needs and rights of patients, ensuring that their dignity and confidentiality are maintained. Provide compassionate care and emotional support to patients and their families. Required Skills and Abilities Proficiency in basic nursing procedures and techniques. Ability to accurately monitor and record patient vital signs. Competence in administering medications and treatments. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team. Compassionate and empathetic demeanor. Ability to work collaboratively within a team and interact positively with patients. Strong organizational abilities, including the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively. Attention to detail in documenting patient care and following treatment protocols .

Qualifications Education:

Completion of an accredited LPN program.

Licensure:

Current and valid LPN license in the state of
