Hours Per Week:
36 hours/week Hiring range: $ 24.52 – $31.88 The actual compensation for this position will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
Responsibilities:
Prepares surgical operating suite with sterile and non-sterile instruments and supplies. Hands required and requested instruments and supplies to surgeon during surgery. Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients. Maintains instruments in an organized manner and monitors and tracks instruments counts throughout procedures. Assists surgeons’ provision of hemostasis during surgery.
Complexity of Work:
Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment.
Personal Protective Equipment:
Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
Education:
High school diploma/GED required Must be able to speak, read, write and follow instructions in English.

Required Credential(s): BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse credentialed from the New York Board of Nursing.
