The LPN will assist in providing professional services for general dermatology conditions and skin cancer treatments.
Specific Tasks:
Administer basic health care or medical treatments. Assist healthcare practitioners during examinations or treatments. Provide basic patient care or treatments, such as taking temperatures or blood pressures, or dressing wounds. Work as part of a healthcare team to assess patient needs, plan and modify care, and implement interventions. Prepare patients for examinations, tests, or treatments and explain procedures. Prepare patients physically for medical procedures. Collect biological specimens from patients, when necessary. Record patient medical histories. Maintain medical facility records. Answer patients’ calls and determine how to assist them. Explain medical procedures or test results to patients or family members. Help patients with dressing, moving, or standing and walking. Operate diagnostic or therapeutic medical instruments or equipment. Prepare medical supplies or equipment for use. Clean medical equipment or facilities. Sterilize equipment and supplies, using germicides, sterilizer, or autoclave. Maintain inventory of medical supplies or equipment. Completes assigned clerical work in medical settings. Perform all other duties assigned.
Certificates and Licenses:
New York State Licensed Practical Nurse.
