Job Overview:

We are seeking a licensed RN, LPN, or certified EMT to join our camp team as the Camp Nurse/EMT . This position is perfect for a school nurse, EMT, or healthcare professional looking for a rewarding summer opportunity in an outdoor, community-oriented setting. The contract runs from June 30th to August 22nd with a week of staff training before camp starts. You can work the full 8 weeks, or work part of the summer.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide daily healthcare to campers and staff, including first aid, illness assessments, and medication administration. Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with camp health policies. Respond to medical emergencies and coordinate with local emergency services if needed. Communicate with parents regarding camper health concerns. Ensure the health center is stocked and organized with necessary medical supplies. Educate staff on basic first aid and health procedures as needed.

Qualifications:

Licensed RN, LPN, or certified EMT in the state of New York. Experience working with children, preferably in a school, camp, or emergency setting. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to make quick decisions in emergency situations. CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain before camp starts). Why Join Us?
