LPN:

• Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordancewith approved nursing techniques.
• Provides accurate anddescriptive records of medical and nursing care of the residents.
• Assigns daily resident care duties to Nursing Assistants andHospitality Aides, monitors and evaluates the delivery of care.
• Accurately transcribes and carries out all physicians’ orders andassists with physician visits.
• Participates in resident careplanning.
• Evaluates and is alert to the physical andpsychological needs of the residents and responds in accordancewith proper nursing techniques and protocol.
• Assists withadmissions and discharges of residents.
• Assists in the managementof Nursing Assistants and Hospitality Aides.
• Assists with directresident care as time and responsibilities permit.
• Assists withcarrying out physician orders.
• Treats all information aboutresidents, their condition, and family as well as personnel mattersas confidential information.
• Complies with established Corporateand Departmental policies and procedures and maintains establishedstandards and practices.
• Performs other functions as directed bythe supervisor.

Our Requirements:

• Current and valid LPN licensein the state you will be providing care. If you are currently astudent in an LPN program, please see the Graduate Practical Nurse(GPN) position.
• Judgment capabilities, initiative, anddependability.
• Ability to read, write, and understand Englishwell.
• Ability to stand, walk, stoop, twist, and turn frequentlythroughout the course of an eight-hour shift.
• Ability to lift 30pounds in assisting co-workers with resident lifts, transfers, etc.several times throughout the shift.
• Standing and walkingdistances constantly throughout the campus is required during theshift while evaluating residents and supporting line staff and (atapplicable facilities) responding to emergency needs of theRetirement Community.
• Ability to push a med cart in dispensingmedications.
• Ability to react quickly and decisively inemergencies and in unexpected behavior of residents.
• Ability tounderstand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability tocommunicate with residents at a level they can understand.
