Pre-op / PACU / OR – Surgical LPN Specialist Pennsylvania Surgery and Laser Center Bensalem, PA 19154 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate LPN with OR scrubbing experience, to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background, and demonstrate exceptional patient care skills. This role is crucial in supporting our surgical teams, and ensuring the safety and comfort of patients undergoing various procedures. The LPN will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating closely with surgeons, anethesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high quality care. This LPN will also be responsible for floating to other units, such as pre-operative care unit, post-operative care unit, and scrubbing in the operating room. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments to prepare for surgery. Scrubbing in OR for surgical procedures. Maintain sterile environment while adhering to infection control protocols. Collaborate with surgical teams to coordinate patient care, patient safety, and improve health outcomes. Document all patient interactions, assessments, and care provided accurately in medical records. Educate patients and their families on health management for post-operative care. Support surgical team with specialized procedures in the operating room, as needed. Skills Current and good standing LPN license Previous experience in an operating room as a scrub tech a plus! Previous skills related to ASC care and other specialized surgical fields are highly regarded Knowledge in critical care practices and emergency response techniques. Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to nursing practice. Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments effectively. Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare teams. Compassionate approach to nursing care.
