Licensed Practical Nurses LPN are needed for patients in the Mount Pleasant and surrounding areas allowing you to work close to your home. Your patients, your schedule. License Practical Nurse LPN:
Graduate of state-approved school Current license in the State of Pennsylvania Minimum of two [2] years experience in patient care Reliable, independent means of transportation to make home visits. Drivers must have a valid driver’s license and carry required insurance coverage limits.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
for LPN position: Provides skilled nursing care that includes activities such as teaching and treatments (including IV therapy- if IV certified, venipuncture and complex wound care) and health promotion practices Executes preventive, rehabilitation and restorative nursing procedures appropriate for the patient’s care and safety Assesses signs and symptoms in conjunction with reporting reactions to treatments, including drugs, changes in patient’s physical, mental or emotional condition to the physician and the supervising Registered Nurse Evaluates the patient and home situation to determine the health teaching required at each skilled visit. Evaluates the patient condition and home situation to determine what assistance will be available from the designated representative in caring for the patient. Instructs and educates the patient and the designated representative regarding the care requirements of the patient in the home. Conducts a comprehensive physical examination and nursing assessment of the patient at each skilled visit.
