Licenced Practical Nurse 3.9 3.9 out of 5 stars 301 Bayley Rd, Daniel Island, SC 29492 We are looking for a LPN to join our nursing staff in providing excellent health care to our patients. Your duty of caring for the patients coming into our facility include tasks like creating and maintaining accurate patient records, administering medication and monitoring for side effects, recording vital signs, and reporting symptoms and changes in patient conditions. The role also includes administering injections and assisting with minor medical procedures, ensuring that all actions comply with the standards set by OSHA, DHEC, and UMA. In this position, the nurse will ensure the cleanliness and organization of the exam rooms, maintain necessary supplies, and facilitate a timely flow of patients. This includes scheduling appointments and referrals based on urgency and availability, as well as providing patient education regarding diagnoses and treatments. The nurse will observe and report on patients’ physical and psychosocial conditions, document reactions to medications and treatments, and communicate effectively with both patients and physicians regarding care plans. The LPN will also be responsible for triaging patients, preparing them for examinations and procedures, and administering prescribed treatments and tests as ordered by the physician. This role requires strong organizational and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while ensuring high standards of patient care.

Responsabilities:

Room patients and take vital signs and health histories. Document patient information in electronic medical records. Administer injections and assist with minor procedures. Maintain and review patient records and communicate pertinent information. Ensure cleanliness and organization of exam rooms and maintain supplies. Facilitate timely patient flow and assist with scheduling appointments and referrals. Observe, record, and report on patients’ physical and psychosocial conditions. Respond to and triage phone calls, calling in orders as directed by the physician. Instruct patients regarding treatment and medication as ordered by the physician. Prepare patients for exams and procedures, assisting as necessary.

Requirements:

Graduation from a recognized Licensed Practical Nursing program and licensed as an LPN within the State of South Carolina or with a compact state license. Current South Carolina LPN License or compact state license. Current BLS certification required for LPNs. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
