Job Description SummaryHollings Cancer Center Clinic is a busyadult Oncology clinic that sees a wide variety of oncologypatients. Our clinic team consists of RNs, LPNs, CMAs, andadministrative assistants who work alongside a multidisciplinaryteam to deliver quality and safety of care for our patients. Eachclinic workflow varies depending on the clinic, but includesworking as a team that includes: patient triage, in-clinicprocedures, assessments, patient education, medicationadministration, CVC line care, obtaining EKG, and carecoordination. Team members work alongside providers (includingphysicians, PAs and NPs) during patient clinic visits to providethe needed care our patients deserve. Other team members that wework alongside include: Social workers, Pharmacists, andPhlebotomists.

Job Summary/Purpose:
- The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) reports tothe Manager.
- Under direction of a Registered Nurse, the LPNprovides individualized, goal directed and family centered patientcare.
- The LPN demonstrates proficiency according to the Lawsgoverning nursing in South Carolina.
- This position delivers safeand effective care and interacts with other members of the healthcare team to achieve desired results and outcomes.
- This positionwill require the use of the LPN’s skills in multiple physicallocations under MUSC Health.
Minimum Training and Education:
- Completion of a recognizedLicensed Practical Nursing program; Minimum of six monthsexperience as LPN required.
- Licensed as an LPN within the stateof South Carolina or a compact state. A current CPR card isrequired; either an American Heart Association Basic Life Support(BLS) for Healthcare Providers card or an American Red CrossProfessional Rescuer card.
- Ability to demonstrate commitment topatient centered care philosophy as evidenced by effectivecommunications skills, professional demeanor, and excellentinterpersonal skills.
- Ability and motivation to articulate andsupport departmental philosophy of excellent guest relations.
Mustcommunicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Must becomputer literate.
