OVERVIEW

To provide nursing care according to physician orders and in conformance with recognized nursing techniques, procedures, established standards, and administrative policies, subject to personality and mood changes of residents. Position requires some lifting and turning of residents and ability to effectively handle emergency situations of all types. All duties must be done in a kind, considerate, gentle manner, with resident rights considered in all interactions.

Responsibilities Provide direct patient care, ensuring adherence to residents’ rights and dignity. Perform catheterization, tube feeding, and IV infusion as needed. Conduct patient assessments and maintain accurate EHR records. Administer basic life support and respond to emergencies. Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement care plans. Educate patients and families on health management and treatment options. Uphold HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality. Qualifications Valid LPN license and certification Proficient in patient care and assessment Knowledge of EHR systems and HIPAA regulations Experience with catheterization, tube feeding, and IV infusion Strong understanding of physiology and residents’ rights Familiarity with critical care and long-term care environments Ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities
