Licensed Practical Nurse – Emergency Services – Loris Position Available In Horry, South Carolina

Demonstrates knowledge in the administration of medications; accuracy in monitoring the effects of IV medications; provides emergency nursing care under the supervision of the RN to include trauma and codes; demonstrates a thorough knowledge of multisystem reassessment and recognizes abnormalities which require immediate notification of a physician. 4. Demonstrates knowledge of and utilizes standard work for various ED procedures. 5. Coordinates effective patient and family teaching, and discharge planning involving community agencies as deemed appropriate. 6. Follows the policies and procedures of the hospital; demonstrates knowledge of HIPPA and EMTALA; Practices patient confidentiality, and uses complete discretion when discussing patient matters. 7. Is accountable for cost-effective quality patient care and assists other personnel in containing cost. 8. Contributes to and assists unit personnel in Performance Improvement activities. 9. Functions effectively in a wide range of crisis situations and in an atmosphere of stress and tension; handles personal and professional frustrations appropriately. 10. Assumes personal responsibility for professional development and continuing education. 11. Fosters an environment that demonstrates caring, compassion and respect for all patients, families, and visitors. Demonstrates an alert, sensitive and supportive attitude; Always responds to coworkers in a helpful manner, is pleasant and tactful. 12. Qualifications/Training:

• Minimum of 1 year related nursing work experience. Licenses/Certifications/Registrations/Education
• Active Registered Nursing License in South Carolina or a compact state.
• BLS required for all nurses
