Looking for: Urodynamics/Urology Experienced NurseEssential Job Responsibilities/Expectations Job responsibilities include those listed in competency document. Maintains a professional image and exhibits excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and coworkers in accordance with our Service Excellence Standards and Core Values. Coordination and responsibilities for all functions of the program include: Screening and assessing patients, gathering and reviewing medical records. Providing patient education and coordination of patient care from initial screening in the clinic to post procedure discharge and follow up between multiple disciplines to include cardiologists, surgeons, and primary care physicians. Knowledge and understanding of Registry requirements and compliance. Knowledge and understanding of the Shared Decision-Making process as it relates to patient evaluation and registry/insurance purposes. Developing relationships and corresponding with referral bases Ordering and scheduling diagnostic testing, scheduling appointments Planning and assisting with procedures, clinical assessments, evaluating post procedure care and discharge planning. Reviewing imaging and relaying abnormal/incidental findings to implanting cardiologists Daily operations and communication to the multidisciplinary team to develop, evaluate, and implement evidence based best practice that will drive quality outcomes. Build partnerships across multiple departments in the hospital and the office, interacting with various levels of management in order to promote success of the program by ensuring patient care is a top priority. Assist in leading the facility to accreditation compliance and regulatory alignment, continuous improvement on quality measures. Strives to optimize patient outcomes through patient education and clinical experience. Promotes improvement in processes and systems to achieve unit goals. Facilitate the development and implementation of teaching plans specific to patient and to multidisciplinary staff members. Serve as a resource for the hospital and office staff regarding the care of structural heart patients. Play an integral role in the investigation, development and implementation of care delivery models and program activities targeted to improve patient satisfaction while increasing clinical efficiency, safety, and quality. Coordinate industry procedure support; transmit imaging to vendors. Clinical support for testing, scheduling, and coordination for seamless transitions of care.
Qualifications/Training:
Computer skills required. Urodynamics experience required.
Licenses/Certifications/Registrations/Education:
Current South Carolina (or compact state) licensure as an LPN (SCLLR) in good standing required. Basic Life Saving (BLS) certification must be obtained within 90-days of hire.,
