Thisposition is responsible for providing hands on, person centeredresident care, proper and timely administration of medications andtreatments, accurate verbal and written reports and rapid responseto any/all emergency situations. Contact the HR Director at864.490.6338 for more info.

POSITION SUMMARY

: Provides hands onresident care, proper and timely administration of medications andtreatments, accurate verbal and written reports and rapid responseto any/all emergency situations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

:

  • Performsprofessional and restorative nursing services which include, butnot limited to, resident assessments, recording of vital signs,administering medications and treatments.
  • Keeps timelydocumentation of written reports and verbal reports ensuring thatquality care is provided.
  • Interacts with the resident’sphysician, pharmacist and medical personnel as needed.
  • Followingthe guidelines as outlined in the Resident Care Plan; assistsresidents with activities of daily living including bathing,dressing, eating, toileting, hygiene, and mobility.
  • Assists within-service and on the job training and mentoring of Team Members.
  • Participates in and attends all required in-service training andeducation programs as scheduled.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Full Physical Demands, WorkEnvironment, and Expected Hours of Work:

The physical demandsdescribed here are representative of those that must be met by anemployee to successfully perform the essential functions of thisjob.

  • This position is very active and requires frequent standing,walking, bending, kneeling, stooping and climbing.
  • This positionwill be required to lift or carry weight up to 50 lbs. and abilityto push up to 250 pounds independently.
  • The individual must useproper body mechanics to assist residents in their daily living.
  • This position regularly requires long hours and frequent night andweekend work.
TRAVEL:

No travel is expected although occasionaltravel may be required for training sessions, continuing educationopportunities, emergency situations, and other company functions.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • Current state licensure asa Licensed Practical Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse in goodstanding.
  • Certification in CPR, AED, and First Aid
  • College oruniversity degree desired.
  • 1-2 years’ experience in a similarhealthcare position preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIESREQUIRED
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand Englishfluently.
  • Ability to meet or exceed the company’s attendance andpunctuality standards.
  • Ability to use Electronic Records andmiscellaneous software and office equipment.
  • Ability tounderstand and follow directions as given.
  • Ability to work withminimal supervision.
