JOB SUMMARY
Perform duties by giving care to patients of all age groups including, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatrics under the direct supervision of a physician. A variety of tasks performed daily; which require a considerable amount of organization.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Education and/or experience: Current LPN licensure by the Tennessee state board of nursing. Prefer two or three years in a medical physician’s office, but will consider a new graduate. Must pass Pharmacology Proficiency exam and complete pharmacology course for Licensed Practical Nurse under the director of Blount Memorial Pharmacy faculty.
Knowledge:
Knowledge of medical technology and basic pharmacology required.
Skills:
Must be able to perform all necessary nursing duties which includes but is not limited to injections, EKG’s, CLIA waived testing and assist the physician during procedures. Must have excellent communication skills and the necessary skills needed to operate a computer.
Abilities:
Must have the ability to work with multiple computer applications. Willingness to cross train as needed in other areas of the practice. Must have the ability to work very timely, efficiently and have the ability to multi-task.
