Do you have a heart for providing compassionate care to senioradults? Then were the right place for you. We are welcomingLicensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to our skilled nursing team. TheLPN is responsible for the daily clinical aspect functioning tomeet all residents needs while supervising the nursing activitiesperformed by the CNAs, in accordance with current federal, andstate regulations and the established policies and procedures ofWoodcrest.

Under the direction of the Director of Nursing, directsthe day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants in accordancewith current regulations and policies of Woodcrest.

Admits,transfers, and discharges residents, as needed.

Charts notes in aninformative and descriptive manner that reflects the care providedto the resident, as well as the residents response to care.

Preparesand administers medications, as ordered by the Physician.

Disposesof drugs and narcotics as required and in accordance withestablished procedures; ensure the narcotic records are accuratefor your shift.

Requisitions and arranges for diagnostic andtherapeutic services, as ordered by the physician and in accordancewith established procedures.

Transcribes physician orders in atimely and accurate manner, and in accordance with Woodcrestpolicies and procedures.

Make periodic checks to ensure thatprescribed treatments are being properly administered by certifiednursing assistants and to evaluate the residents physical andemotional status.

Administer professional services such as;catheterization, tube feedings, suction, applying and changingdressings/bandages, packs, colostomy and drainage bags, takingblood, and care for the dead/dying, as required.

Take and recordsTPRs and blood pressures, as necessary.

Ensures that assigned workareas are maintained in a clean, safe and sanitary manner. MonitorsCNAs to ensure that they practice Universal Precautions and safetyregulations in the use of equipment and supplies.

Review residentcare plans for appropriate resident goals, problems, approaches andrevisions based on nursing needs.

Interacts with co-workers,physicians, residents and all other customers in a manner whichencourages harmonious working relationships, enhances the image andreputation of the facility and promotes positive customerrelations.

Supports the facilitys mission statement by dependabilityin attendance, punctuality, maintaining confidentiality, the timelycompletion of assignments, and attention to principles ofprofessional ethics and quality service.

Has a commitment toprofessional and personal growth through development of skills andknowledge, as well as improvement in the facilitysperformance.

Ensures the rights, dignity and confidentiality of allresidents is maintained.

All other duties as assigned by theDirector of Nursing

SUPERVISION & LEADERSHIP

Provides limitedsupervision to others through motivation, direction, review andfeedback of assigned tasks.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

College degree orequivalent from a two-year college or technical school and sixmonths to one-year experience in a long term caresetting.
