Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Wood Village Senior Living Community (A Twin Rivers Facility) 520 Old Highway 68, Sweetwater, TN 37874 Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in various settings, including assisted living facilities, clinics, and medical offices. The LPN will work under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians, ensuring that patients receive the best possible care while promoting their comfort and well-being. Responsibilities Administer medications and monitor patient responses to treatments. Assist in the development and implementation of patient care plans. Perform routine assessments of patients’ health status, including vital signs. Provide tube feeding and manage pain management protocols as needed. Support patients with activities of daily living in assisted living or senior care environments. Document patient information accurately in electronic health records, including systems like Athenahealth. Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care. Respond to emergencies and provide first aid as necessary, utilizing skills in emergency medicine. Educate patients and families on health management and medication administration. Skills Strong knowledge of nursing practices and procedures in various settings such as clinics, ERs, and assisted living facilities. Proficiency in medication administration and understanding of pain management techniques. Experience with tube feeding and senior care is highly desirable. Familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly Athenahealth. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while maintaining a high level of professionalism. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in patient documentation and care plans.
