LPN:
CLINIC NURSE FULL TIME
The Licensed Practical Nurse coordinates and provides patient care in the clinic setting.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Requires current LPN licensure in the State of Tennessee. Previous experience preferred by not required. Must be able to work as a team member as well as independently while maintaining patient confidentiality
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Triage patients and assessment of patients; familiar with all stages of growth and development, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatrics. Administering medications, understanding proper dosage including oral, parenteral, and intravenous. Documentation of pertinent information on patient chart, reporting changes in patients’ conditions, such as adverse reactions to medication or treatment, and taking any necessary action. Stabilization of urgent and emergent care needs. Demonstrates ability to implement approved protocols for patient care. Prepares the patient and performs EKG and/or initiates continuous cardiac monitoring. Identified health education needs for patient and communicates plan of care with patient and family. Performs lab work as ordered collection of blood, urine, finger stick and swabbed specimens. Facilitates and maintains working atmosphere and environment conductive to communication and cooperation and all states of growth and development. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
