RN/LPN – DAY/NIGHT SHIFT

- RN Position Summary
- A Registered Nurse is responsible for working with other healthcare professionals to help provide patient care. The duties of a RN may vary, but generally include the following:
- Manage the nursing care for all residents and delegate shift tasks to nurses.
- Supervise nurse aides as they complete their assignments.
- Observe residents’ conditions, oversee, and respond as necessary.
- Inform physicians of any changes in resident conditions.
- Communicate with patients, family members, and the interdisciplinary team about care plan changes.
- Maintain confidentiality of protected health information, including verbal, written and electronic communications.
- RN Requirements
- Current unrestricted RN license in practicing state

- LPN Position Summary
- A Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible for providing basic medical attention to patients and assessing their wellbeing. Their duties include checking vital signs, recording a patient’s medical history, and often includes the following responsibilities:
- Direct the daily activities of the CNAs and ensure policies and procedures are followed by nursing personnel.
- Participate in admissions, discharges and transfers of residents as required.
- Assess resident’s conditions, prepare, and administer medications per physician orders.
- Initiate, review, and update care plans.
- Report any changes in a resident’s condition to the nurse supervisor and keep them informed of factors that interfere with being able to perform work as assigned.
- Perform other assigned duties given by clinical or administrative leadership.
- Maintain confidentiality of protected health information, including verbal, written and electronic communications.
