Full Time MA/LPN Apex Podiatry

West 6th Street, Cookeville, TN 38501 Apex Podiatry is looking to add a full time Medical Assistant or Licensed Practicing Nurse to its team. We are looking for an individual that has a positive attitude, energetic, passionate and wants to learn a new operation A-Z while working as a TEAM. Additional characteristics desired are a strong work ethic, punctuality, reliability, a friendly face and former podiatry related experience highly preferred. This assistant will work alongside both of our podiatrists and other staff members supervised by the physicians to work through the daily patient volume. Assistants carry out one primary function throughout the day and that is to make the doctor’s job easier and more efficient. LPN’s job duties are both on a clerical and clinic level. Clerical duties include logging patient information into charts. Navigating certain portals for test results, scheduling studies, verifying insurances and benefits as well as prior authorization of surgeries, DME and certain medications. Clinical duties include assisting with procedures such as ingrown nails, biopsy’s, injections or other medically necessary procedures. As part of our patient care we dispense a variety of DME out of the office. Each Assistant is responsible for knowledge of each device, its function, coding/dispensing and fitting or casting techniques. Training will be provided, however, former experience with podiatry related DME is preferred. We are specifically wanting to add another staff member (LPN) to our employee base to aid in increased patient volume to our practice and assist our new provider navigate her daily schedule. •
