Responsibilities Provide care to patients under thedirection of a registered nurse or physician, functioning withinscope of license. Contribute to the assessment of patients and assures thewell-being of patients. Administer medications and observe patients for adversereactions to medications or treatments. Perform laboratory tests and therapeutic services. Educate patients/families about disease treatment planincluding self care post discharge, holistic health needs,available resources and follow up care.

Requirements Licensure /Certification /

Registration:

BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association(AHA) obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or jobtransfer date required. American Heart Association or American RedCross accepted. Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse credentialed from theTennessee Board of Nursing or current home state license formulti-state license recognition “Compact State” obtained prior tohire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursingrequired.
