Responsibilities of the Licensed Practical Nurse(LPN):
Provide personal care (i.e., grooming, bathing, dressing,oral care, etc.) of residents daily and as needed.
Provide bedsidecare. Administer medications and document therapeuticeffects.
Assist with resident comfort.
Prepare and administerinjections and/or enemas.
Collect samples and monitor catheters.
TakeTPR (temperature, pulse, & rate), blood pressure, weighing ofresidents, etc., as directed.
Assist in the orientation and trainingof other staff, as requested.
Other special projects and duties, asassigned.
Requirements of the Licensed Practical Nurse(LPN):
Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse with current statelicense.
Must have a current/active CPR certification.
Excellenttechnical, assessment and documentation skills.
Strong analyticaland problem-solving skills.
Ability to lift fifty (50) or morepounds. Physical work is a primary part (more than 70%) of job.
Ableto stand and/or walk for more than four (4) hours per day.
Able tobend and/or stoop for more than one (1) hour at a time.byJobble
