LPN-Medical/Surgical Position Available In Smith, Tennessee

Under the direction of an RN, contributes to the assessment of patients by collecting data for analysis by an RN.Drag Edit DeletePerforms plan of care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care. May administermedication. Documents patient care given.

Drag Edit DeleteAssists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.

Drag Edit DeleteMonitors, documents, and communicates patient’s status and reactions to interventions with RN, physician, patient, and families.

Drag Edit DeleteWorks as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

Drag Edit DeleteObserves central monitor screens, interprets, recognizes and records changes in patient’s rhythms and notifies nurse as appropriate.

Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

• American Heart Association or American Red Cross Certifications:

  Basic Life Support (BLS) required upon hire or must be obtained within 90 days of employment, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within 12 months of employmentIV Therapy certification preferredDrag Edit Delete

• Six months to one year experience as LPN in medical/surgical unit.
