Job Description
DUTIES
- Assist the school nurse in providing screening to students according to state standards.
- Renders first aid to staff and students.
- Administers medication in accordance with district policy.
- Follows district policies and procedures for all health care provided.
- Attends meetings as directed by the school nurse.
- Performs clerical duties as directed by the school nurse.
- Communicate effectively with students, staff, agencies and community members.
- Immediately report accidents, assaults, destruction of property and abusive behavior.
- Report unauthorized persons and/or damage to appropriate authority as required.
- Attend District training as required.
- Support the value of education and the philosophy and mission of the District.
- Adhere to all District policies and regulations.
- Perform such other tasks and assume other responsibilities as the supervisor may assign.
