Urgent Care Setting Responsibilities:

• Assist healthcare providers in patient examinations and procedures
• Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
• Administer basic life support measures in emergency situations
• Perform medical administrative support tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and billing
• Assist with medical coding and documentation
• Prepare and administer medications as directed by healthcare providers

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of human physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology
• Excellent patient service skills, including effective communication and empathy
• Proficient in taking accurate vital signs and documenting patient information
• Familiarity with basic life support techniques and emergency response protocols
• Ability to provide medical administrative support, including appointment scheduling and billing
• Experience with medical coding systems and documentation requirements

Requirements:

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred
• Previous experience working in a hospital or clinical setting is a plus
• Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
