Job Summary:
The Medical Assistant will support the practice workflows in a variety of ways. Some (not all) are as follows: triage patients with detailed medication reconciliation administer injections schedule follow-up visits assist provider with exams and procedures perform x-rays conduct calls with patients/other offices about results/needs according to provider guidance obtain prior authorizations/referrals
Education:
High school diploma or GED required. Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
Experience:
1-year previous experience in a clinical or hospital environment preferred.
Additional Skills/Abilities:
Excellent assessment skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Work independently and effectively in a busy environment. Knowledgeable of EMRs and regulatory practices.
