As a vital member of ourteam, you’ll provide technical clinical services and clericalsupport for the delivery of quality patient care as directed bylicensed staff, a physician or a mid-level practitioner. Collects patient assessment data to include height, weight,vital signs, chief complaint/symptoms, and current medications forassessment by licensed staff. Prepares the patient for provider evaluation by obtainingspecimens, positioning for exams, listing medications, andassisting during exams and procedures. Maintain work area, exam treatment and x-ray rooms, and lab ina clean, safe manner; restock with supplies and instruments; andsterilize reusable equipment as needed. Assists with lab procedures by collecting urine specimens,collecting and preparing blood samples for reference lab; labelingall specimens with accurate patient ID as ordered by thephysician. Documents patient information in the medical record to includeupdate treatment procedures, medication refills, test results, andpatient concerns, etc.
What We Require:
Education:
Graduation from aMedical Assistant Program accredited by the Commission onAccreditation of Allied Health Education (CAAHEP) or AccreditingBureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES), or comparable militarytraining and experience preferred.
Experience:
One year experiencein physician office preferred.
Licensure/Certification:
CurrentMedical Assistant Certification through a recognized nationalprofessional association such as, the American Association ofMedical Assistants, the American Medical Technologists, TheNational Association of Healthcare Professions , the AmericanRegistry of Medical Assistants, or the National HealthcareAssociation. May be hired on a provisional status once theapplicant receives the letter confirming they have taken thecertification exam and have a provisional passing score.

Certification required.
Other:
Effective communicationskills in order to work with the public. Computer skills to utilizedatabase systems to perform job duties required. Must be able toproblem-solve. Keyboarding required for automated computer systems,including electronic medical records.
