Medical Assistant Sand Mountain Family Practice Center 5104 US Highway 431, Albertville, AL 35950 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. You will assist with various clinical tasks, including medication Prior Authorizations, diagnostic test scheduling, physician referrals, and triaging patients on an as needed basis. You will also be ensuring that our patients receive the best possible service in a friendly and efficient manner. Duties Perform clinical tasks such as taking patient histories, measuring vital signs, and assisting with examinations. Administer injections as directed by healthcare providers, ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Provide medical administrative support, including scheduling appointments, sending physician referrals, and completing medication prior authorizations. Deliver exceptional patient service by addressing questions and concerns promptly and professionally. Perform x-rays as needed Maintain a clean and organized clinic environment to promote patient safety and comfort. Experience Previous experience in a family practice clinic is preferred. Familiarity with medication names and indications is a plus. Knowledge of medication administration protocols is preferred. Strong communication skills and a commitment to providing excellent patient care are necessary for success in this role.
