The Medical Assistant will be required to: Greet and transport patients in a friendly manner and prepares them for visit with physician. Assist with in-office orders, assorted clinical duties as directed, and communicate effectively with physicians, patients, clinic coordinator, and practice administrator to perform job function. Maintain inventory and ensure exam rooms are stocked. Duties and Responsibilities (Include but are not limited to) Greets patients and transfer them from waiting room to exam room Obtain medical history, current medication list, and description of current health issue from patient Input all pertinent information into EHR Be prepared to transfer patients to X-Ray as needed Administer injections using proper techniques Input in-office orders for physician (x-ray and injection orders) Casting application/removal and remove sutures Provide DME bracing Maintain inventory and stock rooms Communicate with medical staff and clinic coordinators accordingly Compliance with HIPAA and OSHA guidelines Other tasks as assigned by Practice Administrator, Physician, and/or Clinic Coordinator Qualifications and Education Requirements High school graduate or equivalent CMA certification preferred Basic Life Support certification preferred 1 year minimum experience in medical office setting Participate in continuing education in field Preferred Skills Excellent oral and written communication skills Mastery of necessary clinical procedures as appropriate for medical assistant position Ability to adapt to different circumstances and work in a fast-paced environment Detail oriented and ability to multi-task Ability to read, analyze, interpret and present pertinent information and respond to questions from patients, co-workers, administrator and physicians
