1.0 Summary Assist in examination and treatment of patients under direction of provider by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Measure and document vital signs and chief complaint in patients’ EMR. Prepare treatment rooms for examination of patients. Administer injections. Perform Phlebotomy as needed. Perform check in and check out procedures for patients. Schedule return to clinic appointments. Communicate with Case Management team. Maintain bio-hazardous waste for collection. Order supplies for the clinic. Assist CEO in ordering of clinic vaccines. Enter data into

EMR / EHR

database. Enter immunization information into EHR as needed. Participate in Continuous Quality Management Program. This position may require the employee to transport patient information in their personal or company vehicle. This information must be secured during transport. Supervisory Responsibilities This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Need to Know Access The Medical Assistant will have access to all clinical charts and medical information for all clinic patients. She/he will have access to the shared network and clinic level access to the CAREWare database. She/he will also have access to the agency EHR for data entry and the Florida Shots portal for data entry.
