Tallo's Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant for a full-time temporary position (approx. 3 months) at our Viera location. The ideal candidate will educate, treat, and inform patients for their appointment. Potential candidates for this role should be excellent communicators who excel at developing and maintaining patient relationships. Hours are from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with weekend and holiday rotations required. Responsibilities include assisting physicians with patient care, preparing patients for exams or treatment, documenting patient care accurately, organizing and cleaning rooms, answering phones/scheduling appointments, and other general administrative tasks. Skills and requirements include being a Certified Medical Assistant with MA certification or completion of a course, a high school diploma or equivalent, 2 years of prior experience in a healthcare setting, BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross, proficiency in keyboarding skills and electronic medical records, as well as knowledge of HIPAA requirements.

Responsibilities include:

Assisting physician with patient care Prepare patients for exams or treatment including taking patient history, vitals and phlebotomy Document patient care in the medical records system accurately and in a timely manner Organize, stock and clean rooms as well as sterilize instruments Answering phones/scheduling appointments as well as general administrative tasks

Skills & Requirements:
