Medical Assistant Plus Cosmetic Surgery Center Hollywood, FL 33021 Job Summary At our state-of-the-art plastic surgery clinic located in Hollywood, FL, we’re dedicated to delivering top-tier cosmetic and reconstructive surgical care. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our plastic surgery team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced medical environment. Duties Assist in patient examinations and procedures, consult, pre-op, post-op, ensuring comfort and safety. Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse. Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care. Calls patients to relay advice and instructions from the surgeon. Provide discharge instructions. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.. Enter EMR notes for various appointments and procedures. Get medical clearance. Make follow up phone calls to patients. Call prescriptions. Familiar with all forms and handouts (procedure-based, consent forms, etc.) Coordinates the maintenance scheduling/testing of the surgical equipment Arranges for all biohazardous waste pick-up. Performs all other tasks and projects assigned by the manager or physicians Cleans instruments after each procedure in accordance with infection control and biohazard protocols Autoclave operation and function. Skills Must be bilingual Russian – English. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and healthcare team members. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to maintain accurate records. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a compassionate approach to patient care.
