) Key Duties and Tasks Patient Care Administrative Tasks Clinical Procedures Communication Record Keeping Detailed Responsibilities Medical assistants play a crucial role in healthcare settings.

Their responsibilities include:

1. Patient Care Taking vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, etc.) Preparing patients for examinations Assisting physicians during exams 2. Administrative Tasks Scheduling appointments Managing patient records Handling insurance forms 3. Clinical Procedures Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens Performing basic laboratory tests Administering medications as directed by physicians 4. Communication Explaining treatment procedures to patients Providing instructions for medication and special diets Liaising between patients and healthcare providers 5. Record Keeping Updating and filing patient medical records Coding and filling out insurance forms Arranging for hospital admissions and laboratory services Medical assistants must maintain a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and compassion in their daily responsibilities. General Accountabilities Prepares treatment rooms for patient examinations. Cleans treatment rooms following patient examinations. Interviews patients to obtain their medical history. Records patient medical history, vital statistics, and test results in patient medical files. Performs routine screening tests, such as height and weight measurements and blood pressure checks. Draws blood, removes sutures, changes dressings. Purchases and maintains supplies and equipment. Cleans and sterilizes medical equipment and instruments. Properly disposes of contaminated supplies. Assists physicians during fine needle aspiration biopsy by handing over instruments and materials. •The company reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.

Job Qualifications Experience:

1-2 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Licenses/Certifications:

CPR and first aid certification required; certification as a medical assistant (CMA) preferred Skills Proven working experience as a medical assistant Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and priorities work Social perceptiveness and service oriented Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and planning skills Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software Degree in medical assistance Experience with EMR or eClinicalWorks Bilingual (English and Spanish) Willing to start
