SurgiCare of Miramar i s looking for an experienced Certified Medical Assistant for our Pre-Op / PACU department. The medical assistant is responsible for coordination of patient care. Will work directly under the supervision of the Clinical Director and Charge Nurse. Required Skills Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program Minimum 1 year experience in a clinical or hospital setting Ability to recognize, evaluates, solve problems and correct errors. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, hospital staff, physicians, vendors and the public. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Demonstrates accountability, professionalism, openness, receptive to change, creativity and innovative. Excellent communication skills, written and verbal Ability to adapt to change quickly, strong knowledge base relative to surgery procedures and management of the surgical patient Understands principles of aseptic technique and their implementation Ability to care for patients from children to geriatrics Basic knowledge of Performance Improvement ideology
