Medical Assistant – Jacksonville Beaches, FL Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our team in a primary care setting. The role involves comprehensive patient care and administrative duties to ensure smooth clinic operations. Responsibilities Collect patient demographics accurately and efficiently. Triage patients based on symptom criteria to prioritize care. Take vitals and ensure accurate documentation of patient information. Room patients and prepare them for examinations. Maintain thorough documentation of patient interactions and care. Essential Skills Experience in medical assisting and patient care. Proficiency in phlebotomy and electronic medical records (EMR) systems. Strong understanding of medical terminology and healthcare procedures. Ability to perform insurance verification and handle front desk duties. Excellent customer service skills and ability to schedule appointments. Additional Skills & Qualifications 1+ year of experience in a fast-paced clinic environment.

Preferred:

Medical Assistant diploma or certification, or 1+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is advantageous. Work Environment This role is based onsite at a primary care clinic, where you will see between 20 to 30 patients a day. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 8am to 5pm.
