Medical Assistant Job Description As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for patient check-in, obtaining patient information such as height and weight, recording vitals like blood pressure, and assisting the physician with various tasks. Responsibilities Perform patient check-in procedures and obtain necessary patient information. Record vital signs including blood pressure. Assist the physician during examinations and procedures. Manage medical records and ensure accurate documentation. Provide support in patient check-out processes. Work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals. Essential Skills Certified/Registered Medical Assistant in the state of Florida (preferred). Proficiency in medical terminology and use of Electronic Health Records. Ability to perform phlebotomy and manage blood pressure readings. Strong customer service skills and ability to work with diverse patient populations. Excellent communication skills and a positive, compassionate attitude. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in a medical or healthcare setting. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Familiarity with Epic healthcare software. Experience in pediatric and internal medicine settings. Work Environment You will be working in a fast-paced Primary Care clinic that services 120-140 patients per week with a team of 10 providers, including 7 physicians and several specialty providers. The clinic has a supportive team environment consisting of 7 Medical Assistants, 2 Check-In and 2 Check-Out Associates, 2 Medical Records Clerks, 1 Office Float, and 4 nurses.
