Job Summary:

Medical Assistants play a vital role in supporting our healthcare providers by performing both administrative and clinical duties to ensure smooth operations within Well&You. They are responsible for preparing patients for examinations, assisting with procedures, managing patient records, and providing general office support. The Medical Assistant works closely with physicians, nurses, Registered Vascular Technicians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Assist medical and/or nursing staff in the examination and treatment of patients Maintain stocks of medical supplies as necessary in the exam rooms Educate and advise patients on medical issues within established parameters Practice safety, environmental, and/or infection control methods Assist in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician Interview patients, measures vital signs, and records information Instrument cleaning and autoclave cleaning Update medical history Prepare treatment rooms for examination of patients. Scribe and putting in orders for providers while in room with patients Assist the supervisor as unusual problems arise Rooming patients by taking vitals Suture and staple removal; and wound care Compression stockings measurements Prep charts and get medical records for future patients to see the physician

Required Skills/Abilities:

Knowledge of patient evaluation and triage procedures Skill in listening to and understanding oral and written communication Experience performing standard clinical procedures per established protocols Experience maintaining quality, safety, and/or infection control standards Ability to educate patients and/or families as to the nature of disease and to provide instruction on proper care and treatment. Experience understanding and following oral and written instructions Knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures in the vascular field. Trustworthy and reliable and a quick learner Ability to act effectively in emergency situations Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask Thrives on fast-paced environment and possess poise to work under pressure Ability to work independently and lead team with different people in various roles Ability to be flexible yet place structure/order in a startup environment Temperament and discipline to handle info with high level of confidentiality Requires strong proficiency in technology

Education and Experience:

1-3 years of experience in a related field Medical assistant certificate, preferred

Physical Requirements:
