Medical Assistant – Jacksonville, FL Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Assistant to join our urgent care clinic. The ideal candidate will assist with a variety of clinical tasks and ensure smooth operations within the clinic. Responsibilities Collect patient demographics and update electronic health records (EHR) Triage patients based on symptoms and urgency of care Assist with patient care, including taking vitals and medical histories Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families Support front desk operations as needed Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and medical terminology standards Essential Skills 1+ year of experience in a fast-paced clinic environment Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare procedures Strong customer service skills Additional Skills & Qualifications Preferred but not required: MA diploma or certification Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Work Environment The role is based onsite at a primary care clinic, where you will see between 20-30 patients a day.
