The medical assistant is also responsible for taking vital signs, drawing blood, doing EKG, collecting lab samples, performing IMs and IVs. The MA controls and manages the flow of patient care so you must be able to multi task. To be successful as a medical assistant you must have excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail. REQUIRED

: Greet patients. Take vital signs. Perform EKG. Draw blood. Obtain lab samples. Perform lab tests. Enter data into EMR. Maintain inventory. Prior experience in medical care. Compassion for patients. Attention to detail. Ability to prioritize and multi task. Excellent interpersonal skills.
