Full Job Description Job Overview :
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our Pediatric healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have at least (1) year experience directly providing care to individuals in a medical setting, preferably in Pediatrics.
Duties:
Assist healthcare providers during patient examinations and procedures. Take and record vital signs and medical history accurately. Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and ensuring comfort. Administer vaccines, medications, tests and procedures, as directed by healthcare providers. Familiar with VFC and FL Shots. Vaccines inventory, ( VFC and Private Lots) Manage patient flow within the office setting to ensure efficiency. Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment. Utilize medical terminology effectively in communication with staff and patients. Medical supplies inventory .
Requirements:
Previous experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinic or office setting is preferred. High School or GTE required. Fluent in the English language . Certification or Diploma /Certificate from an accredited Medical Assistant program. Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems to maintain accurate patient information. CPR Certification by the American Red Cross or Heart Association (preferred). Understanding of medical terminology related to various healthcare practices. Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
