The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care within a Level II Trauma Center. This position requires a strong foundation in medical knowledge, excellent patient service skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The Medical Assistant will assist healthcare professionals with various tasks, ensuring that patients receive the best possible care during their visits. Responsibilities Assist in patient intake, including taking vital signs and medical histories Support healthcare providers during examinations and procedures Provide basic life support when necessary and assist with emergency medicine protocols Maintain accurate patient records and manage electronic health systems Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care Ensure cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment Interview patients and document basic medical history Organize and schedule appointments Update and file medical records. Assist during medical examinations Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments Experience Knowledge of anatomy and basic medical terminology is essential Previous experience in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred Familiarity with emergency medicine practices is a plus Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on patient service and care Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail Skills Phlebotomy EKG Proven working experience as a medical assistant Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work Social perceptiveness and service oriented Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and planning skills Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software Certificate of Completion for Medical Assistant BLS Join our team of dedicated professionals committed to providing exceptional care to our patients.
