Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team in Ocala, Florida. The ideal candidate will provide support to our medical staff and ensure a smooth patient experience. This position involves both administrative and clinical tasks to maintain efficient office operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist healthcare providers during patient examinations and procedures. Perform basic clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and collecting specimens. Schedule patient appointments and manage the appointment calendar. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in electronic health record (EHR) systems. Communicate effectively with patients regarding their care, follow-up appointments, and treatment plans. Handle administrative duties, including insurance verification and processing billing information. Ensure compliance with safety and infection control protocols. Assist with patient education and provide information on medications and treatments.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a medical assistant program preferred. Certified or registered medical assistant (CMA or RMA) is a plus. Previous experience in a medical office or clinical setting preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office and electronic health record systems. Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
