The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and committed to delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced clinical setting. They should be comfortable assisting with cardiac procedures such as EKGs, stress tests, and vital sign monitoring, while also supporting the administrative flow of the clinic. A strong sense of empathy, teamwork, and professionalism is essential. If you are passionate about patient care and eager to grow in a cardiology-focused environment, we would love to meet you. Duties Greet, room, and prepare patients for cardiology evaluations. Measure and document vital signs (BP, pulse, SpO₂, weight, etc.). Perform and/or assist with EKGs, stress tests, Holter/event monitor placement, and other cardiac diagnostics. Administer injections and medications per provider orders. Draw blood, collect specimens, and handle basic point-of-care testing. Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and ensure equipment is cleaned and calibrated. Update and manage Electronic Medical Records (EMR). Coordinate appointments, referrals, and prior authorizations with payers. Educate patients on pre/post-procedure instructions and device usage. Adhere to infection control, sterilization, and safety protocols. Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program. Current certification as CMA (AAMA) or

RMA/NCMA

(or ability to obtain within X months, if acceptable). Current BLS certification. 6-12 months of clinical experience (cardiology preferred). Proficiency with EMRs and basic Microsoft Office or similar tools. Strong communication, teamwork, and multitasking skills. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in a cardiology practice or hospital cardiac unit. Experience performing EKGs, stress testing, and rhythm monitoring workflows. Phlebotomy experience. Bilingual English/Spanish.
