Orange Ave, Suite 601, Orlando, 32803 The community you’ll be caring for: More than 800 physicians, 450 advanced practice providers, and 2,600 clinical and support staff in over 40 specialties, provide patients with a broad range of medical and surgical services. AdventHealth Medical Group Central FL operates over 200 offices, providing compassionate, multidisciplinary care to more than one million patients a year. In existence since 1994, AdventHealth Medical Group Central FL has demonstrated consistent growth and stability in an ever-changing health care market. The role you’ll contribute: The Health Assistant, under close supervision, provides appropriate care to patients as well as follows AdventHealth service standards. This may include safely and effectively greeting patients, obtaining clinical information, financial and demographic information. Responsible for patient intake process, obtaining vital signs, reviewing patient record to update quality metrics and close care gaps. May also be responsible for duties such as equipment sterilization, equipment maintenance, and following up on messages. Performs office duties as needed; which includes but is not limited to, verifying insurance, collecting copays and scheduling necessary appointments. Drives customer service initiatives by creating and owning the patient experience Legibly documents and reports all procedures and assessments in accordance with department policy. Performs clinical intake process including documenting pertinent medical information and vital signs. Performs chart prep for patients Responds appropriately in clinical emergencies and triage situations under the supervision of the provider.
