As a House Calls Medical Assistant, you will be a part of the Clinical Care Team engaging with our patients to develop lifelong well-being and health. The Medical Assistant role makes a difference in the patient care we offer and assists physicians and other clinicians by providing a unique blend of skills and knowledge to carry out prescribed medical treatment. Medical Assistants are multiskilled health professionals responsible for performing administrative and clinical tasks in our primary care facilities while delivering outstanding customer service and maintaining positive patient engagement.

The House Calls Medical Assistant who is Bilingually proficiency in both English and Spanish supports a team of APRN’s that visit our most vulnerable patients in their homes. This position, along with the administrative assistant role is based in the corporate office of CenterWell Orlando. The Medical Assistant performs clinical duties such as discussing symptoms and gathering and inputting information into the electronic medical records system. Collaborates closely with providers and administrative assistants. Decisions are typically focused on interpretation of area/department policy and methods for completing assignments. Works within defined parameters to identify work expectations and quality standards, but has some latitude over prioritization/timing, and works under minimal direction. Follows standard policies/practices that allow for some opportunity for interpretation/deviation

Required

  • Successful completion of MA school/training program or a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant or 5+ years of experience and approval from Provider
  • 3+ years of Medical Assistant experience in ‘back-office’ direct patient care
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • CPR Certified
  • Bilingual proficiency in both English and Spanish – must pass proficiency exam prior to foreign language communication
  • This role is considered patient facing and is part of the company’s Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB
    Preferred
  • Certified or Registered – (Arizona, Indiana, & South Carolina candidates require Medical Assistant Certification or Registration)
  • Phlebotomy experience
  • Medication/vaccine administration experience
  • 2+ years MA experience
  • Value Based Care experience including knowledge of
HEDIS, CPT/ICD

coding, and

CAHPS/HOS

Patient Experience.
Medical Assistant Working hours:
Monday to Friday 8AM-5PM
Scheduled 40 hours per week
Local travel will be required; Mileage is reimbursed

Applicants will be required to take the Interagency Language Rating (ILR) test as provided by the Federal Government.

Pay Range
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
$40,000 – $52,300 per year
