Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our clinical team. The ideal candidate will support our providers and care team by ensuring smooth and efficient patient flow, performing essential clinical and administrative tasks, and delivering exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet patients, obtain vital signs, and record medical histories. Prepare patients for exams and assist providers with procedures. Administer injections, immunizations, and medications as directed. Collect and process laboratory specimens (e.g., blood draws, swabs). Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR). Ensure cleanliness and organization of exam rooms and clinical areas. Provide health education and instructions as directed by providers. Support the coordination of care and contribute to team-based healthcare delivery.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required. Completion of a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) program is preferred. CPR/BLS certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire). At least 2 years of experience in a medical office or clinic setting preferred. Familiarity with EHR systems (eClinicalWorks, Athena, etc.) is a plus. Bilingual (English/Spanish) Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
