Orlando, FL 32824 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in various medical settings, including outpatient facilities, urgent care centers, and trauma centers. This position requires a strong understanding of medical procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures. Administer medications as prescribed and monitor patients for adverse reactions. Perform coding for medical records and billing purposes. Provide care in outpatient settings, ensuring patient comfort and safety. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation. Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. Perform blood draws and manage lab samples Take vitals and assist with clinical procedures Provide patient support and education Maintain accurate medical records (EMR proficiency a plus!) Assist with office flow and wellness-based services Skills Proficient in medication administration techniques. Familiarity with medical coding practices. Experience in outpatient care settings is preferred. Knowledge of emergency medicine protocols and procedures. Strong knowledge of human physiology relevant to patient care. Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and healthcare teams. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Perform venipuncture, collect and label blood specimens.
Conduct patient intake:
record vitals, medical history, and reason for visit. Assist in minor procedures and exams as needed. Administer injections or vaccines as directed by providers
