Description
National Spine & Pain Centers is seeking a Part Time Medical Assistant to join our team of highly trained, caring professionals at our surgery center in Winter Park.
Schedule:
•1-3 days/week• Monday – Friday (no weekends or holidays)
Hours:
Dayshift
Part-Time, no benefits
Setting:
Surgery Center/Operating Room
X-ray experience highly preferred
IN THIS POSITION YOU WILL
Provide patient care as directed by physicians and management
Effectively communicate information to the physicians/nurses and relay associated responses back to patients
Complete documentation for patient charts by obtaining diagnostic studies (e.g., labs, X-rays, path reports, etc.); vital signs, reviewing current medications, dosage, and dosage schedule; noting any allergies; and recording Provider(s’) orders and prescriptions.

Requirements
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND REQUIRED SKILLS
A high school degree or equivalent education and training.
Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program preferred OR a minimum of two (2) years of clinical Medical Assistant experience, preferably in a specialty practice.
CMA/RMA certification preferred
Experience with electronic medical records
The ability to work in a fast-paced environment while demonstrating resourcefulness and proactivity.
