Medical Assistant Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of administrative and clinical tasks to support the efficient operation of our healthcare facility. Responsibilities Perform follow-ups with patients. Update patient records through data entry. Answer inbound phone calls and provide excellent customer service. Order labs and relay lab results to patients. Schedule follow-up appointments. Triage and provide clinical support as needed. Essential Skills 1+ year of experience in Medical Assisting. Medical Assisting diploma or certification, or 1+ years of MA experience preferred but not required. High School Diploma. Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR), specifically Athena. Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare procedures. Additional Skills & Qualifications Customer service experience. Front desk experience. BLS certification. Insurance handling knowledge. Work Environment This position involves working onsite at a clinic, Monday through Friday, from 8am to 5pm.
